Taking care of 20 acres is a lot of work and Camp Ahbalufa is run and maintained by volunteers. We would like to thank Todd Lund and his sons Dakota and Cole for their tremendous help around camp. They are always ready to pitch in and do whatever needs to be done – and we appreciate it. Dakota just completed his Eagle Project at camp, adding a new exit to the inside gate area making the road safer for all our visitors and Cole is in the planning stages of his Eagle Project to replace all the old wooden gates with shiny metal ones, we cant wait. The Lund family and friends also installed new telephone poles at the front entrance to camp.

I asked Dakota why he chooses to spend his Sunday mornings at camp; he told me that he loves camp, he’s camped here since he was a little kid. He’d rather spend a few hours helping at camp then laying around watching a movie. We love their attitude and really appreciate their help around camp.

If anyone can donate some time, talent or equipment to help out St Lucie County’s Best youth camp – we’d love to have your help. A few hours a week make a world of difference.
